Translation

These relations are varied, some interesting, lifeless some,
Some are tired, some familiar and strangers some

How should I expect them to have mercy on my folks,
When in all of us, there sit hiding devils some

For a few coins I changed my convictions
For a pittance I have sold my beliefs some

It was after a lot of pleading that I was granted a glance
It was after eons that he was generous some

With his gaze on the doorstep, ‘Gard’ breathed his last
At least now, to my home will come, guests some

  • Nihit Kaul ‘Gard’
